Killer collection from Sandra Backlund

Some people may have doubted whether Stockholm-based Sandra Backlund could successfully make the transition from brave and unconventional art/fashion to knitwear that many women would want to wear and buy. We think that her Spring/Summer 2011 collection answers that question once and for all. It is the sort of classical fashion that will accumulate positive hyperboles like a magnet. Gorgeous is one word that comes to mind.
Backlund only recently made the leap from knitting everything herself to having a conventional production. In her S/S 2011 collection we see the sculptural, almost architectural forms and textures we have come to expect from this designer.
