R/H is a new label from Finland by designer duo Hanna Riiheläinen and Emilia Hernesniemi which uses feminine cuttings, colorful prints, playful details “and a certain spirit of black magic.” Their spring/summer 2011 collection was inspired by carnations and dahlias, the Scandinavian summer sky as well as Mickey Mouse and Dolly Parton.

Silk, silk/cotton, bamboo jersey and reindeer leather are the main materials used in the collection; the prints are their own design. Hanna and Emilia are graduates of the Masters of Arts program TAIK / University of Art and Design Helsinki, where their instructors included Pirjo and Paola Suhonen, the sisters responsible for the successful IVANA Helsinki label. The S/S 2011 collection of R/H will be sold at WoodWood in Berlin and Vienna, as well as other outlets.
